Me, my brother and his wife spent a wonderful week driving through Rajasthan (Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Pushkar) with our driver Manoj. The car was very comfortable, there were USB-Charging stations for our phones, free wifi and Manoj Ji provided us with water and biscuits throughout the drive.
Read more... Me, my brother and his wife spent a wonderful week driving through Rajasthan (Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Pushkar) with our driver Manoj. The car was very comfortable, there were USB-Charging stations for our phones, free wifi and Manoj Ji provided us with water and biscuits throughout the drive. We had planned very little in advance and during the trip itself changed our plans of what to see and how long to stay in which city several times, still Manoj Ji accommodated all of our wishes by also finding very good hotels short termed. If you wish to pick your own hotels, no problem. If you don't like a location and want to change it, no problem. If you want to linger longer at one sight it's also never a problem. It is completely 'up to you'. The best thing about the trip though was having such a humble, fun and knowledgeable guide in Manoj Ji. He will show you big sights as well as lesser known spots of interest. He'll tell you background stories about the region, local culture and history. He'll introduce you to local foods safely without having to fear a case of Delhi Belly. At the same time he will give you all the space and time you want or need to explore on your own as well. Sometimes it can be hard in India to find a driver who will make you feel secure and comfortable. With Manoj Ji it feels like traveling with a good friend. Highly recommended! Show less

As with the first time, we were very happy with Manoj. He is a very safe driver who shows you remote places that you wouldn't see as a normal tourist. He explains everything to you because he has a lot of background knowledge. If there are problems (our cell phone broke) he does everything to solve them. As mentioned, you can drive with him not only through Rajasthan but also to other regions. He has become like a friend to us because of his friendly and courteous demeanor. We wouldn't want to travel through India with any other driver. If you are looking for a competent, helpful, well-informed and safe driver, Manoj is the first choice. It is simply pleasant and relaxed to travel through India with him. We would always want to drive with Manoj again. Show less

Read more... My two daughters (19 and 24 years old) and I spent the last three weeks traveling in northern India. It was my third trip to India, but their first. So I already had some experience with India, but I'd always traveled in a small group with friends. Other people always took care of the route and hotels. That's why having Manoj with me was such a huge help. I found him through a recommendation in this forum and, based on our positive experience, I'd like to recommend him as well. Manoj is self-employed and has a younger partner who handles some of the driving. He met us at the airport in Delhi, and we immediately found him to be a careful and considerate driver. He drives a comfortable mid-range Tata, in which we always felt at ease, and whose air conditioning kept us nice and cool during long drives in the midday heat. We spent the first two days in Delhi, where Manoj drove us around the city, and together we decided which sights to visit. Manoj makes excellent suggestions but is also very accommodating. For example, we modified our itinerary along the way, skipping Udaipur but spending more relaxing days in Jaipur and Pushkar. There were also times when we traveled independently (flight to Varanasi and drive to Rishikesh). Manoj was always available to take us to the airport or pick us up from the train station. I had also given him a budget for hotel prices, which he always adhered to. When we didn't like a hotel because it was too far out of town, he immediately had alternative suggestions. Show less

What‘s different to other drivers and makes him special is his sense for his guests. He showed us so many untouristic places like schools, laundry, manufactories and also invited us to his driver home and cooked (the best food we ever eaten during our journey!!!) for us. We are happy to have chosen him because he showed us places ‚normal tourists‘ would have never seen! And these are the places were you get to know the people and their culture. :) Show less
